Client: Stockland

Engineer: MEC

MEC firstly became involved in this retirement village when it was bought by Aevum in 2004. Subsequently Stockland acquired the asset through its purchase of Aevum. Improvements, upgrades and maintenance work require regular engineering input from MEC.

MEC role: The purchase of this property was one of many on which MEC were engaged by Aevum to provide a pre-purchase report. Our role has been typically to assemble and coordinate a multi-disciplinary team to inspect and report on the condition of the building fabric, structure and services with MEC undertaking the reporting on the fabric and structure. Since the purchase of Lourdes Village we have assisted with a number of upgrades to the village and provided structural advice on maintenance issues.
